Learn more about our approach, partnerships, and how to engage with our work.

NotAid is an independent platform that supports locally led organisations and ideas working at the intersection of justice, sustainability, and systemic change. We exist to challenge traditional aid models and to promote more accountable, community-centred approaches to social impact.

Many aid models are driven by external agendas and short-term project logic. NotAid prioritises local leadership, long-term thinking, and principled partnerships, supporting work that addresses root causes rather than surface symptoms.

We work with organisations that demonstrate strong leadership, community accountability, and a clear commitment to justice, sustainability, and meaningful impact. Our focus is not on size, but on integrity, relevance, and long-term potential.

NotAid may support partners through a mix of collaboration, visibility, strategic support, and, where possible, financial contributions. Our approach is flexible and shaped around partnership rather than standardised grantmaking.

Our work spans interconnected issues such as climate justice, inequality, governance, legal empowerment, and systemic reform. We are particularly interested in work that challenges power imbalances and strengthens community agency.

If your work aligns with our values and approach, you are welcome to reach out through the contact form. We review enquiries carefully and prioritise relationships that are grounded in shared principles and mutual respect

NotAid is supported through a combination of contributions, partnerships, and independent funding initiatives. We aim to maintain our independence and avoid funding arrangements that compromise our values or integrity.

You can support NotAid by engaging with our work, sharing our ideas, collaborating with us, or making a contribution where possible. Support is not only financial — thoughtful engagement and solidarity also matter.
